Learning how to properly take care of your bird after the hunt is easy if you follow a few simple rules.
After collecting the bird keep it in a cool place.
When you get home get a wet paper towel and wrap the feet and head. These are the major places freezer burn can happen.
Take the birds neck and gently bend it back over the bird's body.
Place the bird in a zip lock bag or large trash bag.
Place bird in a safe part of the freezer where it can't be damaged.
